ETCS Senior System Design Engineer (Onboard)

Occasional travelling, business trips for customer project meetings. 

• Analysis of customer requirements
• Define technical ETCS solution
• Create specifications
• Clarify interfaces to subsystems
• Design at System level technical solutions for project/Tenders needs in ETCS (ERTMS L2) for onboard or trackside projects. 
• Analysis of customer requirements 
• Define the interfaces between the involved subsystems (internal and external). 
• Create a functional specification of the system /subsystems. 
• Control and allocate tender/project requirements to various subsystems and manage overall system performance. 
• Coordinate the architectural technical solution design and the integration of subsystems, products and other technical partners and to Solve technical issues concerning application project. 
• Ensure the consistency of the System design work in terms of reuse, compatibility with previous versions, and adequacy to market. 
• Train less experienced engineers, giving the required support, based on his expertise and experience. Work on high level of quality. 
• Provides technical expertise in support of other Engineering and ITC teams, including field support. 

• University degree (MEng) preferably in engineering

Technical Knowledge / Experience: 

• Minimum 4 years with experience in onboard or trackside ETCS (ERTMS L2) system architecture. 
• Technical knowledge: Signalling, ETCS (ERTMS L2).  
• Knowledge on UNISIG Subsets, specially Subset-026. 
• English Fluent. 

• ETCS (Onboard) knowledge
• Experience in Mainline Projects.
• Seniority: Senior > 5 years or Expert > 8 years
