Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for the design of tools for automotive plastic parts, good realization by suppliers;
  • Connecting with Product Design engineer to get 3D first design of plastic parts;
  • Analysing feasibility and request design change for tool and process feasibility and cost optimization;
  • Designing tools based on part CAD definition;
  • Collecting all requested documents to create RFQ package of tools;
  • Realising tooling suppliers audit in suppliers facilities in order to define the list of suppliers to request for quotation;
  • Evaluating technical offer and make technical recommendations for supplier selection;
  • Piloting Tooling supplier during the design phase, production phase and tuning phase of tools;
  • Making audit implant at each phase of tooling realization and validate tooling reception before first off tool automotive parts realization;
  • Piloting the tooling modifications in compliancy with product modification or defect solving;
  • Proposing cost optimization on plastic part, tools or process;
  • Anticipating any deviation, apply problem solving methods, define action plan and report follow up;
  • Realising the daily report of the status to the Manager Product process team, alert in case of blocking point out of perimeter, ask for support for problem solving;
  • Reporting any innovation to EXPLEO management and realize capitalization report at the end of each phase.

  • Rigorous, Organized to be efficient;
  • Good oral and written communication;
  • Synthesis skills;
  • Able to manage supplier;
  • English - avanced;
  • Practice of CATIA V5/6 – PLM;
  • Plastic injection tooling design expertize;
  • Automotive main schedule plan and car architecture.
