  • Overview

    Works independently taking full responsibility for a certain area within Business Consulting. Primary role in Business Consulting working as a member of consulting services organisation with a customer-focused approach using different software solutions to provide expertise in a particular domain.


    Consults on projects of moderate scope and sometimes complex assignments.

    Makes recommendations and collaborates with clients to help achieve their business objectives regarding efficiency, productivity and compliance.

    Maintains awareness of opportunities provided by and makes use of new and emerging technologies to address challenges or to enable new ways of working to add potential value to the client.

    Identifies and assesses risks to the success of the project. Agrees the project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.

    Builds reporting/status updates and assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, identifying potential benefits and available options for consideration.

    Analyses data and effectively presents to clients to support proposed solutions. Able to challenge client hypotheses and solutions with robust data.

    Understands business operations risk in own area.

    Actively participates and delivers on own objectives within projects, helping out other team members and providing input into team project planning.




    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
    Achieved a formal certification as a Scrum Master, Kanban Lead, Lean Six Sigma certification or similar Agile approach
    Project management knowledge

    Additional course or certification in Business Consulting

    Good client-facing skills, with experience in developing partnerships with the team and client and collaborating with others to exceed client expectations.
    Good problem-solving skills. Has experience in proposing different options and solutions for approaching and resolving issues.
    Adaptable and responds positively to changing business issues. Sees change as an opportunity to improve performance.
    Excellent communication skills. Adapts style accordingly and demonstrates an understanding of the audience’s perspective, uses discretion when dealing with sensitive information.



    Demonstrable experience of Scrum Management.
    Has been the lead or co-lead on a single team Agile adoption, at least 6 to 12 months real experience.
    Has achieved a formal certification as a Scrum Master, Kanban Lead or Lean Six Sigma certification.
    Has experience coaching a team and/or individuals to develop highly productive teams.
    Demonstrates Lean Thinking and an Agile Mind-set in how they work internally and externally.
    Has experience in running both formal and informal Agile training for teams.
    Actively involved in the Agile community (SQS, Locally or Globally) through participation, publications or speaking events.
    Has good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge and has practical experience of tools and frameworks required to deliver.
    Good understanding of the business consulting lifecycle.
    Advanced knowledge in MS excel and working knowledge of Power Point and Word.
    A proven record in analysing data and effectively presenting to clients to support proposed solutions. Able to challenge client hypotheses and solutions with robust data.



    Good people skills, with experience in supporting others in raising their performance and working out their development goals.
    Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high.
    Good self management. Can set and work to quantified goals and standards. Delivers by being aware of and considering the commercial impacts.
    Must be flexible, independent and self motivated.
    Ability to manage own expenses and adhere to the expense policy.
