Automation Engineer

You will join our high performance team of Technical Engineers and take full responsibility for a technical area. You will works on quality engineering projects using available frameworks and tools and establishing plans for projects with on-time and on-budget project goals.
This role will require you to be onsite 2 days per week in Limerick.

• Understand customer testing needs - current processes as well as future requirements around testing
• Is responsible for test scenarios & test cases formulation and test data preparation
• Is responsible for all test automation related activities right from test automation framework design, development, implementation + automation planning & execution
• Is responsible for tracking Defect triage & closure
• Is technically responsible for all the Testing performed by the Testing Organization
• Is responsible for the overall Quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional including performance, security, usability, etc.
• Is responsible for ensuring the Test Frameworks & methodologies as recommended by Test Architect / Test Lead is implemented in the project

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• ISTQB Foundation

• Basic awareness of taxation
• Experience of using various Automation Testing tools in use in Revenue, such as:
  • Cucumber BDD Framework
  • Selenium or Cypress
  • Java Spring or Node.js
  • Git Version Control
• Java, Javascript or other language to high level
• Awareness of XML and JSON, and how they are used in SOAP/REST based APIs
• Understanding of the importance of documentation in software development
• Enthusiasm for sharing your skills and abilities with others
• Eagerness to learn and continuously up-skill
• Curiosity and tenacity, to investigate and understand complex technical issues
• Communication skills, ability to explain complex issues in a simple manner
