You will act as a Senior Technical Engineer leading Test Environments and Data Management. You will manage available frameworks and tools to manage test environment & data bookings throughout the full SDLC. You must have a wide range of experience across many technical platforms with a high-level understanding of IT architecture, design, networking, operational service and support.



  • Lead environment and data management for multiple phases within a project and/or multiple small projects of moderate scope
  • Responsible for co-ordination of all test environment delivery activities including build, configuration and validation
  • Responsible for managing own and team's time within a certain area and conditions
  • Provide diagnostics and resolution to problems and preparing responses to anticipated questions
  • Provide detailed advice to the team regarding the application of technologies
  • Proven ability to successfully manage external partners/vendors
  • Proven ability to respond well to change and maintain flexibility while keeping focus on objectives


  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience 
    • SAP S/4 Hana
  • Desirable:
    • Certification IT Service Management Certification (ITIL) and Cloud computing
    • Experience in Test Environment Management
    • ISTQB Certification - Beneficial but not essential


  • SAP S/4 Hana deployment and maintenance experience
  • Ability to contribute to new concepts or strategies that significantly improve or revise the way environments and data management is done throughout SDLC
  • Excellent client-facing, communication and presentations skills
  • People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions
  • Team work and emotional intelligence
  • Good self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-set
  • Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance


  • Good SAP applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge with practical experience of engineering/development tools and platforms required to deliver Quality Engineering architecture. 
  • Experience in providing technical guidance to enable others and solving technical queries from junior colleagues
  • Knowledge on Cloud concepts and virtualisation
  • Experience in leading and managing others, offering the appropriate balance of supervision and empowerment
  • Solid understanding with respect to analysis and design, implementation and system integration
  • Experience in influencing senior level clients through change management initiatives, ensuring that the infrastructure is managed to provide agreed levels of service. 
  • In-depth knowledge in enterprise software solutions and experience in providing technical management to key stakeholders. 
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends and able to assess impact on business strategies, benefits, and risks. 
  • Experience in being responsible for the investigation and application of changes and identifying interdependent environment and data components affecting a project or programme. 
  • Experience in implementing systems and controls to measure performance and manage risk. Is an expert in root cause analysis of issues. 
  • Experience in working closely with clients to develop an understanding of their business strategy and architecting solutions based on that.
  • Knowledge of relevant test environment and data management tools
  • Technical expertise in script languages (Shell, Perl, etc.)
  • Expertise on databases and handling queries
