Electrical Project Engineer/Technician

We are looking for an Electrical/Electronics Project Engineer/Technician to join a current team of engineers who support our clients based in the UK.

This is a permanent role with a salary based on experience and skill level. The ideal candidate would have served a recognised apprenticeship and will also have several years experience as an electrical engineer/technician. Due to the nature of the support we provide to our clients, you will be able to travel to client's sites throughout the UK at 24 hours notice and may be required to work weekends.

Existing SC clearance or be able to obtain MOD security clearance to SC level essential.

• Workshop / On-site activities including building from drawings (circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, assembly drawings, etc.) a range of Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical equipment typically;
• PCB’s (including prototype “VERO Board” one off's)
• Control cabinets back panels and associated wiring
• Modification of control cabinets to suit project requirements
• Cable assemblies
• Wiring looms
• One off prototype items of electrical/mechanical equipment
• All types of Electrical Installation work. (including on-site installation of electrical trunking /conduit)

• Time served apprentice preferred with HNC minimum or equivalent qualification/experience in lieu.

• Fault finding both in house and on-site on Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical equipment typically Control and Instrumentation systems including PLC equipment and Computer based equipment an advantage however training could be provided.
• PCB’s to component level
• AC & DC local power distribution systems
• CCTV systems
• Intercom / PA systems
• Fire Alarm/Security system interfaces
• Carrying out planed on-site maintenance on the above systems. Providing telephone support for site based equipment. Attending site as required (maybe at 24 hour notice) in response to defects reported by customer.
• Production and modification of electrical/mechanical drawings using AUTOCAD software an advantage however training could be provided.
• Awareness of current IEEE regulations.
• Flexible attitude with regards to overtime working and UK travel.
• Must have a positive attitude when dealing with the customer.

• Experience in a technician or field service role would best equip the successful candidate
