Test Development Engineer

You will join our high-performance team to develop, modify and control embedded systems equipment during pre-production and production phases. You will monitor performance of test equipment, and work to correct test equipment or test software problems that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues. Design and implement testing solutions focusing on the standardization and improvement of the testing activities for the customer.

• Write test software, tools and specifications to test embedded systems.
• Write test specification, technical guides, validation protocols and reports and all supporting documentation to complete the overall equipment and software validation of the test system.
• Work on sustaining updates to existing test hardware / software with a view towards improving first / final pass yield or implementing support for new product variants.
• Understand test software principles, theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
• Incorporate business policies and procedures into task completion.
• Understand the business cycle and foresight of emerging technologies trends.
• Cultivate internal and external network of resources to complete tasks.

• Degree level qualification in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• NI certification is an advantage (CLD, CLA, CTD, CTA)
• ISTQB certification is an advantage (CTFL)

• Have experience in code-debugging, performance profiling and optimization, using In-Circuit Emulators
• Min 3 years’ experience in a regulated Electronic Industry in a Test Engineering / Programming role in both Hardware and Software.
• LabVIEW programming knowledge is essential (LabVIEW FPGA is an advantage).
• NI TestStand experience is an advantage.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
• Experience with Protocol standards: GPIB, RS232, LIN, CAN, Ethernet & WiFi beneficial
• Experience with Automation equipment (Sensors, I/O, PLC’s, Robotics)
