Senior Weapons Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Weapons Systems Engineer to join our proactive and innovative team working as part of an integrated systems engineering team for the qualification & certification for the resupply of various weapons systems for a variety of platforms in the Aerospace and Defence Marine sectors.

• You'll support planning, co-ordinating and effective delivery of specific artifacts including
  • To capture and manage customer requirements, translating into lower level supplier specifications/ICDs
  • To define qualification requirements and analysis of supplier supporting evidence
  • To undertake engineering Supplier Management activities
  • To undertake review, qualification and approval activities relative to deliverable and delivered items
  • To generate clearance documentation to support delivery in to Service.
  • Co-ordination of engineering programmes across disciplines
  • Generation of Qualification Plans
  • Generation of Specifications / ICDs
  • Generation of Clearances
  • Supplier Management
  • Generation of DDPs

• Appropriate engineering qualification (HNC and above) with associated experience
• Knowledge of typical product design lifecycle

• Able to demonstrate a record of delivering quality engineering in large or complex projects in a typical product lifecycle
• Good people management skills and experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment
• Good communication and influencing skills, drive, initiative and flexibility
• Knowledge of typical product design lifecycle
• Knowledge of weapon or weapon related equipment design, qualification & certification

• This role may require security clearance and our offer of employment will be dependent on obtaining the appropriate level of clearance.
