Infrastructure Architect

We are looking for a Infrastructure Architect to play a key technical role in several client projects. You will need expertise in implementing solutions using various tech stacks. There is significant progression opportunities in this service area.

• Document roadmaps and infrastructure architectures to meet the Infrastructure Roadmap or specific project requirement
• Document the architecture in the form of Technical Architecture Document to the governance board for approval that meet NFRs and application architecture requirements
• Ensure that architectural artifacts areas updated in the appropriate tool and architecture repositories
• Governing the work of Designers by ensuring that they meet the Book of Standards, architecture principles and roadmap of the project in question
• Assessing existing systems to ensure they meet business requirements
• Monitoring the security of existing business systems
• Predicting and overseeing infrastructure or software upgrades based on business needs
• Technical direction of new system implementations
• Creating detailed project plans for new system designs and roll outs
• Reporting on project deployment

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

• Client-facing skills
• People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions
• Team work and emotional intelligence
• Good self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-set
• High value on openness and transparency

• TOGAF 9.1 or equivalent qualified
• Familiarity with the Enterprise Architecture Management tools in use (LeanIX, planningIT and Sparx Enterprise Architect)
• Cloud platforms & Infrastructure (compute, storage and networking) including AWS and Microsoft Azure (Both IaaS and PaaS)
• Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
