EXPLEO is committed to PEOPLE because who better than YOU AND YOUR TALENT?
Today we want you to join our team of professional engineers to work in a team responsible for all aspects of aircraft structural dynamics, from model building and validation to flutter prediction and calculation of ground and in-flight loads for the entire aircraft.
You are our DNA and TOGETHER we can do great things.
Want to check it out?
Expleo is recruiting Modelling and Simulation Engineers to join the Simulation, Dynamcis and Control team in our Bristol office.
Due to upcoming projects and continued growth in ourAerospace and eVTOL business areas, Expleo are looking for multiple talented Modelling and Simulation Engineers to join our expanding team.
The successful engineers will work within a team responsible for the development of models at vehicle level, system level and equipment level. The role covers all aspects of model based design, from concept/trade studies, through model requirements capture, the support of requirements verification, performance modelling, design activities, model validation, support to test, in service support and root cause analysis.
As a Simulation and Control engineer you will work on the development of leading edge algorithms and processes, and with the latest toolsets to support the delivery and integration of the models as part of a wider integrated model set.
The role will suit an engineer looking to diversify their experience and work within a team responsible for producing a wide range of models including:
The work involves the development of high-level vehicle models and control, such as flight dynamic models, as well as detailed models of systems and individual equipment, and their interaction. The role provides opportunities to work across all stages of the design cycle from concept phase through to in service with root cause analysis and problem solving, giving the candidate a broad range of experience to support them in the development of their career.
Candidates will have the following responsibilities (dependent on experience):
Candidates will ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent), in a related discipline preferably Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics, and must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of fundamental modelling principles of systems.
The candidate must have relevant industrial experience, ideally within the aerospace sector (or demonstrate transferrable skills from other sectors) and must have a good knowledge of engineering analysis and simulation tools, particularly Matlab/Simulink. The candidate should have experience with version control software and have knowledge of configuration management processes. The successful candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and within teams of engineers.
