  • Overview

    Directs and manages the full project development life cycle, setting standards for assignments and applications. Responsible for the delivery of the defined work packages to the client and providing effective management to teams and giving guidance to others and key business users. Takes technical responsibility and provides management for all stages and/or iterations in a project, providing advice and guidance to other and key stakeholders whilst meeting on-time and on-budget project goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops strategies and directs teams within complex medium scale projects with diverse scope ensuring that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Proactively aims to achieve personal and team utilisation targets.
    • Allocates and co-ordinates schedules, work and resource plans; managing progress of all activities against the plan, managing own deliverables and that of others to meet delivery deadlines.
    • Manages projects for product life cycle development from the concept phase to the post-launch analysis phase.
    • Provides development evaluation estimates on various projects, including the ability to execute vision, goals and direction of a team/teams.
    • Analyses business requirements and prepares documents for process flows, monitors all aspects of products such as pricing and legal requirements.
    • Administers all user-centric designs and ensure compliance to key deliverables, co-ordinates with product management team and performs product testing on various process.
    • Provides solutions and uses appropriate development tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of systems architectures.
    • Determines criteria for assessing issues and opportunities and identifies relationships and linkages between different information sources.  Anticipates potential problems and develops solutions needed to resolve them. Reviews and cross reviews reports.
    • Creates development procedures and user instructions to ensure a reusable process and tools approach. Defines and implements development process improvements and metrics.
    • Co-ordinates with stakeholders and product management teams and prepare required documents. Co-ordinates with various departments and prepare list of market requirements and prioritises work.
    • Inputs into proof of concept exercises and assists sales with pre-sales collateral. Identifies opportunities to expand client assignments.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
    • Certification in any one programming skill
    • Additional course or certification in Development
    • Project Management qualification
