Programme Test Manager - Financial Services

We are currently searching for an experienced Programme Test Manager in Dublin to lead and coordinate a key strategic project in the Financial Services sector. You will manage and coordinate with internal vendor partners, SMEs and key stakeholders the delivery of large end to end programmes of work, defining and implementing strong QA Governance and Validation of all deliverables (internal/external).

You will have worked on Financial Services data migration/onboarding projects/programmes with a clear view of As IS & To be validation from legacy to new ecosystems. Provide coordination and strong stakeholder management to teams and give guidance to others and key business users. You will direct and manage the full  QA project-life cycle, setting standards for assignments and applications. You will provide management for the team in planning, designing, and developing Quality frameworks and Test process & procedures relating to quality whilst meeting on-time and on-budget project goals.

• Coordinate an internal team of SMEs around E2E test integration & UAT test Phases with diverse scope on complex programmes of work.
• Facilitation of workshops to describe expectations on QA Gates, governance and deliverable quality to the level of risk associated with various projects.
• Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off, proactively aims to achieve personal and team utilisation targets.
• Proactive and engaged at all levels of engagement, able to flag any issues and escalate accordingly
• Responsible for overall test plan design and processes, applying, articulating and constructing business specific end to end scenarios, defining standards for the development of test scripts, deployment and reuse.
• Specifies the test environment for the whole life-cycle testing and ensuring it reflects business requirements for execution. Consults with key business stakeholders to ensure application design is optimised for testability.
• Allocates and co-ordinates test schedules, work and resource plans; managing progress of all activities against the plan, managing own deliverables and that of others to meet delivery deadlines.
• Provides quality assurance evaluation estimates on various projects, including the ability to execute vision, goals and direction of a team/teams.
• Diagnoses problems and probes underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions.
• Can proactively anticipate and prevent problems, facilitates buy-in and guides implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues. Identifies potential consequences and risk levels.
• Creates quality assurance procedures and user instructions to ensure a reusable process and tools approach. Defines and implements quality process improvements and metrics focused on defect prevention.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects or release level.
• Inputs into proof of concept exercises and assists sales with pre-sales collateral. Identifies opportunities to expand client assignments

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager

Desirable:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
• Financial Services experience

• Can navigate and influence different stakeholders, bringing people with you on a QA journey in a fast paced environment
• Exceptional client-facing skills - advising clients and clearly communicating the benefits of implementing specific quality assurance solutions and identifying areas to add value
• Enforcing adherence to Quality Gates and acceptance criteria
• Proven Migration Project Experience
• Exceptional People management skills in a multi-vendor siloed programme
• Team work and emotional intelligence, bold and able to stand your ground in challenging landscape
• Good self-management – continuous performance is both a goal and a mind-set
• Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance
• Experience with Finastra/Fusion Invest or similar solutions
• Must have excellent QA Governance, Best Practice implementation experience, defining and implementing Quality gates, entry/exit reports, KPI & Metric trend analysis to identify risk/issues before they happen
• Strong Atlassian experience (JIRA/Xray)
• Expert in full SDLC, waterfall and Agile, In sprint testing, E2E Integration, UAT Testing

• Strong knowledge within the finance domain.
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience with complex IT programmes.
• Strong theoretical knowledge in quality assurance methodologies, applying standards and specialist quality assurance expertise to deliver whilst providing effective management to teams.
• Extensive application/technology and domain knowledge and has recognised expertise in QA Management including participating in the identification of and planning for future resource needs
• Experience in managing the change control procedure and Requirements traceability through the testing lifecycle
• Experience in providing technical management & advice on QA best practive
• Experience in diagnosing problems using formal problem-solving tools and techniques from multiple angles and probing underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions
• Tenacious and able to fight your battle on behalf of clients
