As a consultant, you will be based in Brussels, Belgium, and work with our teams involved in over 30 countries. - The role:
Reporting to the Safety Director, you will perform safety studies and RAMS analyses. Additionally, you will lead RAMS projects and coach colleagues in the RAMS team. Your responsibilities will include:.
- Performing safety studies for our products/projects.
- Conducting RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) studies.
- Participating in the certification process and drafting safety cases.
- Leading RAMS projects and coaching team members.
- Drafting safety-related documents such as PHA (Preliminary Hazard Analysis), SHA (System Hazard Analysis), and safety cases.
- Requirements:

- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Sciences.
- 7+ years of experience in RAMS activities (PHA, SHA, FMECA, HAZOP, FTA, safety case, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements in English (safety, RAM, functional, etc.).
- Experience with EN50129 / EN50126 / CSM suite of standards.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 or equivalent quality systems.
- Proven ability to run a team and manage projects.
- Experience with EN50128, model-based system engineering, and formal methods is a plus.
- Willingness to participate in field testing (locomotive certification, tests, etc.).
- Deep interest in green mobility, transportation, and railway.
- Positive attitude with the ability to assert safety requirements when necessary.
- Openness to team members' ideas and ability to adapt based on team input.
- Fluency in English with strong written communication skills. Good knowledge of French is a major plus, and knowledge of other European languages is beneficial.
