  1. The role:

You will be working in a team that performs safety studies of software and applications developed by our client. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Performing software safety studies for our products/projects.
  • Participating in the certification process and drafting safety cases.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including system engineers and project managers, to ensure successful integration and delivery of software safety requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating software safety documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test reports.
  • Participating in risk assessments and safety analyses to ensure that software products meet safety and reliability requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advances in software safety engineering.
  • Participating in continuous improvement efforts to optimize software safety processes and tools.
  • Providing technical support to customers and field service engineers as needed.
  • Performing software safety studies for our products/projects. For instance, contributing to drafting the following documents:
    • Algorithm assessment
    • SEEA
    • Critical Code Review
  • Participating in the certification process and drafting safety cases.
  1. Requirements:

We are not looking for the candidate that ticks all the boxes, but if you find yourself in the following sentences then we would be glad to have a chat with you!

  • Master's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics/Sciences.
  • 7+ years of experience in RAMS activities (PHA, SHA, FMECA, HAZOP, FTA, safety case, etc.), especially in Software Safety (SEEA, Critical Code Review).
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements in English (safety, RAM, functional, etc.).
  • Experience with EN50128 standards and model-based system engineering is required.
  • Experience with EN50129 / EN50126 / CSM suite of standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 or equivalent quality systems.
  • Familiarity with the design, development, and testing of software components, both embedded or offline.
  • Understanding of the requirements for developing critical software products, ideally in railway, with participation in such development.
  • Deep interest in green mobility, transportation, and railway.
  • Positive attitude, with the ability to say “no” for the sake of safety and justify adequately why.
  • Openness to other team members' ideas, with the flexibility to change your mind when the team is right.
  • Fluency in English and good command of writing in English are required. Good knowledge of French is a major plus (at least a good understanding), and knowledge of any other European language is a plus.
