As a Construction Manager, you are responsible for the operational coordination of one or more industrial construction sites. A true conductor on the ground, you oversee all construction activities, manage both internal and external teams, and ensure that quality, safety, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Needs Analysis
Perform technical diagnostics, identify specific needs, and propose solutions adapted to the constraints of the site (technical, regulatory, logistical, etc.)
Construction Supervision
Organize, plan, and supervise the various phases of the construction work
Control the quality of the deliverables and ensure compliance with safety standards and contractual commitments
Team Management
Lead and coordinate site teams (internal staff and subcontractors)
Provide regular and accurate reporting to the project management team while maintaining a calm and productive work environment
Compliance & Regulations
Ensure proper implementation of applicable standards (safety, environment, hygiene) and stay up to date with regulatory changes
Site Safety
Promote a strong safety culture, implement prevention measures, conduct safety audits, and ensure the use of PPE and adherence to procedures
Reporting & Communication
Provide detailed progress updates (physical progress, HSE indicators, schedule), escalate alerts or deviations, and ensure proper documentation and traceability
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, HSE, or industrial engineering
• Significant initial experience in heavy industry is expected (chemical, petrochemical, steel, energy, etc.)
• Comfortable managing multi-site projects, with strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset
• A hands-on attitude, reactivity, autonomy, and thoroughness are essential for success in this role
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to unite teams around common goals
• A flawless safety culture is crucial to ensure optimal working conditions
