Overview

The primary function of the Account Delivery Manager is to act as the interface between clients and Expleo’s Account Managers, Operations management and our consultants. The Account Delivery Manager will have an active role in managing the ongoing client relationship from a delivery perspective. This involves managing and assuring quality service delivery under the following pillars:

 

• Client Management
• Delivery Management
• People Management
• Commercial Support

 

Key components of this position are managing stakeholder satisfaction, managing delivery risk, working closely with Operations & Heads of Service to identify the right consultants for project(s), defining job descriptions, on-boarding and support of new team members, and supporting the Market Directors in the pre-sales process.

Responsibilities

Client Management:

  • Build and manage credible, trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Manage the client relationship from a delivery perspective, ensuring the Expleo consultants are delivering to the agreed engagement terms
  • Participate in formal client progress review meetings, providing relevant reporting as agreed on a client-by-client basis based on standard Expleo approaches
  • Accurate reporting of client engagements, working with the relevant consultancy staff
  • Grow revenue stream by effectively identifying opportunities and supporting the Market Directors

 

Delivery Management:

 

  • Ensure the delivery team is focused on operational excellence
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery or the programme as a whole
  • Manage all aspects of the delivery lifecycle
  • Assure the quality of delivery and promote & deliver continuous improvement
  • Ensure relevant reporting is performed to Expleo standards, schedule and is accurate
  • Ensure that deliverables are on time and to required scope and quality standards
  • Challenge internal stakeholders to contribute to improvements in the overall effectiveness of the delivery process
  • Perform quality reviews of Expleo engagements as agreed with the Head of Delivery
  • Drive input and support material for new services related to the Market Units sectors and specific marketing campaigns

 

People Management:

  • Facilitate the appointment of consultants to the project delivery team(s)
  • Report on new or changing resource requirements with clients
  • Liaise with Finance & Administration to ensure resourcing needs (current, known and tentative) are entered into the resource planning system (currently Changepoint) in a timely and accurate way
  • Work with HR, the Resource Team and Changepoint Support to ensure that time, expense, holiday and sickness requests are approved and are accurate prior to invoicing
  • All administration systems are up to date with regard to consultant commitments
  • Working with the Consultancy Organisation to plan future resourcing needs on clients and to ensure proactive rotation of Expleo staff to meet the criteria set by the client and agreed as being appropriate for the particular role

 

Commercial Support:

  • Minimise travel time and costs for a project
  • Liaise with the Market Directors, Legal and Finance & Admin to ensure relevant legal commercial coverage is in place across all client engagements
  • Participate and contribute to the client planning process, as currently performed across nominated Strategic Accounts
  • Work with the Heads of Service to identify opportunities to develop and enhance Expleo Service offerings via the Innovation Groups
  • Work with the Market Directors, Head of Delivery, Heads of Service, the consultancy organisation and the R&I function to drive input and support material for new services related to the Market Units sectors and specific marketing campaigns
  • Working with the Director of Market and Account Managers to ensure that where profit margins are lower than required a plan is established to improve the situation
  • Long term commercially successful client relationships

Experience

Work experience

 

  • Previous Account Delivery Management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Test Consultancy Markets and Services
  • Previous lead roles in major programmes
  • Broad knowledge of the full SDLC in both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Previous commercial experience in a professional services engagement framework
  • Sales support skills, including previous experience of pre-sales situations (presentations
    and written). Good understanding of legal framework around client consultancy and
    services engagements
  • Ability to present succinct summaries by analysing central delivery databases
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise across multiple clients and activities
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment.
  • Experience in Financial Services areas such as funds, insurance, cards, payments, banking highly desirable
