Overview

Manages a particular service or vertical practice offering, ensuring efficient and effective delivery, executing a solution strategy and business plan that supports business growth ad delivery capability. Leads activities and is responsible for delivering quality innovative solutions, ultimately ensuring client needs and expectations are met and contributes to the achievement of a growing revenue and profit stream.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the execution of the strategic plan for Business Solutions to mature delivery capability in line with the broader strategy.
  • Delivers the service roadmap, builds and maintains an appropriate delivery capability for the service.
  • Ensures there is an appropriate number of suitably skilled and experienced delivery consultants for Business Solutions, taking account of current and forecast demand, industry trends and staff turnover.
  • Attracts top talent to the company and develops organisational capabilities to achieve strategic growth plans.
  • Works with international colleagues to ensure an effective global approach to delivery of the service/vertical practice and alignment of tools and methodologies.
  • Improves the quality of Business Solutions delivery, thereby increasing client satisfaction.
  • Maintains appropriate capacity and capability of the service delivery teams to support demand and the growth plans.
  • Reviews progress, evaluates success and captures lessons with the service delivery team, seizing opportunities to implement improvement initiatives.
  • Drives the implementation of best practice and innovative delivery initiatives in line with company strategy.
  • Creates and maintains internal projects to facilitate execution and tracking of project progress against the service roadmap and allocated budget.
  • Shapes, designs and plans the service line, including promoting the rollout of new services into the business.
  • Works with the sales teams with pre-sales including proposals, bids, RFP’s and value propositions
  • Supports service delivery to ensure it is successful and adheres to Expleo standards, values and best practice.
  • Enhances the culture of contribution to Expleo (as well as the customer) to drive employee engagement, innovation and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Additional relevant certification in relevant discipline
  • One or more industry certifications

Desirable:

 

  • Additional course or certification in IT
  • Management certification or qualification
  • Project Management qualification

Experience

General:

  • Excellent client-facing skills, as an expert in own field has experience of influencing client decision making and direction.
  • Applies insight, originality and a broad perspective to generate revolutionary technical solutions.
  • Experience of introducing new concepts or strategies that significantly improve or revise the way business is done through to implementation.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills. Maintains confidentiality, shares ideas and information, facilitates discussions and transfers knowledge to diverse audiences to achieve collective objectives.

Technical:

  • Has deep working knowledge and practical experience of Business Solutions, specifically Business Analysis and Project Management.
  • Confident leader with previous mangement experience.
  • Evidence of in-depth application/technology and domain knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Experience in influencing clients and project teams through change management initiatives, ensuring that the infrastructure is managed to provide agreed levels of service.
  • Solid experience and track record of successful delivery utilising multiple methodologies, frameworks, tools and techniques.
  • Experience in working closely with clients to develop an understanding of their business strategy and architecting solutions based on that.
  • Proven record in independent ownership and oversight of delivery within projects. Able to influence key business stakeholders.
  • Experience in pre-sale initiatives, and turning business opportunities into results.

Management:

  • Acts as a role model for continuous learning and development and challenges others to reflect and learn.
  • Experience of creating an environment that celebrates both successes and failures.
  • Good self management. Takes on high commitments and works to achieve results. Keeps momentum going over time despite setbacks, showing resilience in the face of challenges and looking for ways to beat previous standards.
  • Experience in managing upwards with multiple people, gaining their trust quickly.

Budget:

  • Ability to manage own expenses and ensure adherence of others to the expense policy.
  • Ensures that deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and budgets, and are signed off.
