Here is what you will work on for this important project:
Guarantee the timely and qualitative delivery of a set of activities connected to a component or set of components within a module or (sub)system by technically managing and coordinating these related activities from start of requirement/design until timely and qualitative delivery of the parts by the supplier.
- Planning and Organisation
- Responsible for the efficient and effective planning of the activities together with Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Process Development to timely & qualitative deliver the specification, design and component (if not = escalation to Scrum Master).
- Component Engineers will take the accountability to ensure delivery in time and to immediately escalate towards Scrum Master in case of risk of delays. Scrum master is next to the component engineer co-responsible for timely delivery.
- Component engineer empowered to address activity/action to PUR/SQE/PD&I within the ‘team of 4’
- Will request any resources necessary to timely realise the development and realization of the parts/components.
- Provides input from the discipline’s expertise for the WBS to help establish a concrete planning at scrum master level.
- People
- Coordinate the activities performed by other co-workers or supplier, in the scope of the deliverable of the component(s) (day-to-day management).
- Technical management of the supplier. Follow-up of the technical quality of the delivered work.
- Give feedback about competencies, capacities and potential technical development needs of team members to enable to carry out evaluation interviews.
- Sign off
- Responsible for monitoring the pre-determined requirements of the component(s) at delivery to guarantee the quality of the module/subsystem.
- Responsible for validating the supplier process capability to produce the component against the targeted costs (Design for Manufacturability)
- Responsible to plan his own sprint activities, reviewed and agreed by Product Owner
- Responsible to realize the functionality within the component at a predefined and agreed cost level
- Responsible for validating the external supplier design validation (DVP) if applicable
- Processes, Procedures, Systems, Tools
- Ensure compliance with best practices, work instructions and regulations to facilitate efficiency of processes and procedures.
- Deliver feedback and input to the Product Owner and Functional leader about the applicability and quality of the best practices, processes and procedures to have them be improved continuously.
